She was accidentally hit by a locker at school when the child next to her opened their locker in quite a haste. It took a lot for this mama to not find out who this child was and beat their butt. That wouldn't have been the greatest thing for me to do as a Christian but that was my carnal instinct. I couldn't look at her last night without wanting to cry for her and I am really hoping that when they saw her today that they realized the consequences of their behavior...

Angela, hold back the carnal instinct to "show them what it feels like". All I'll say is GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!! :-)
Paula, I always did have that carnal instint controlled and that was just my initial reaction. I realize with my entire being that this was completely accidental. As a mom though, you know that somedays it is hard to see what has happened to your child and not let out that "mama bear" mentality.
I have no bitterness or anger toward that kid...it was an accident. To be truthful, it would be a lot harder if this had been intentional.
Hey Ang...you and I both know that long after Cherish's face heals there will still be some out there that delight in scandal. More importantly, Cherish has the kind of support from her family and friends that most could only dream of, and if there had been more to the story, it would have been dealt with long before the school did! You go mom!
